"Highlights" plays upon the early morning magic hours and highlights one of the most spectacular outdoor sites oftentimes associated with the high country. The colorful composition captures a large bull elk in the early beginnings of autumn. The blossoming lupine signifies the transition of seasons and marks one of the most enjoyable times of the year to explore the outdoors.
In partnership with the Arizona Elk Society, this piece will be auctioned off on March 21, 2015 at the Mesa Convention Center. In conjunction with the society, a part of the proceeds will be donated for habitat restoration within the state. Due to the sold out event, call-ins will be accepted. "Autumn Chill" sends a chill down the viewer's bones. Any experienced outdoor enthusiast has learned to appreciate that feeling when one witnesses a bull elk of this magnitude. Appearing from the cold and misty morning, there is nothing like hearing and watching a large bull elk claiming his ownership of the territory. It is a magnificent and exciting site that demands respect.

Nature's fight for dominance; there's nothing more exciting than the witnessing this power play between elk.
Rarely captured in paintings, "Conflict of Interest" depicts a fight between two large bulls. Emphasized by complimentary colors, this large painting would make an exciting addition to any collection.

"Morning Highlights" illustrates the essence of a warm, fall morning which marks the significance of the season; the beginning of the elk rutt. "Wake Up Call"

"Wake Up Call" is one of Candra's best pieces. The composition embodies a hallmark of autumn, the onset of the elk rut. Painted with rich tones and highlighted with vibrant hues, the bugling bull is emphasized against the sunrise-lit backdrop. It's a painting that truly captures one of fall's characteristic melodies, the wake up call.
In partnership with the Arizona Elk Society, a portion of the proceeds will be donated to habitat restoration so future generations can enjoy the spectacular sight of a bugling bull elk.

"Sun Up"

"Sun Up" captures the regal presence of a large, mule deer buck. Overlooking the horizon, the buck steps into view just as the warm rays of the sun highlight the waking environment. The composition captures the early morning glow that is often associated with these animals.
In partnership with the Arizona Mule Deer Foundation, this is the first of a series of paintings which will be donated throughout the banquets across the Southwest, including the 25th National Anniversary that will be held in Reno, Nevada on July 20, 2013.
