Candra's artistic career began at an early age. Born in 1983, horses and unicorns dominated a young girl's imagination. When she was old enough to walk, she was introduced to the outdoor sports. Emulating her parents' passion for the environment, Candra's fondness for the magical four-legged creatures soon transposed into realistic wildlife compositions that were considered exceptional pieces for a young girl of her age.
Throughout Candra's schooling, her artwork continued to grow. At the age of 12, Candra was bestowed with the honor of the youngest individual to have an official stamp created and inducted into the United States Postal Service Commemorative Collection. At 16, she developed and created her high school logo and within in a year, she was accepted into the Northern Arizona University Art Program.
Sleepless nights and endless days gave way to Candra's artwork. It was no longer a hobby, it became a passion. Coalescing her fondness for the outdoors and art, Candra began to envision a career as a wildlife artist. Soon, her realistic wildlife portraits became a signature within the university. Through the completion of independent study courses, she graduated Northern Arizona University with a degree in Fine Art.
Since her first debut as a professional artist, Candra's artwork has gained recognition amongst her peers. The popularity of her work has continued to grow within Wildlife organizations, exhibitions and private commissions. Utilizing light play, atmospheric perspectives and distinctive hues, Candra's pieces capture an individualism that defines her work.
